Programme Outcome/Synopsis:

The program aims to provide students with:

  • knowledge and understandings of light automotive and race car systems and processes, and their applications, in order to relate to the servicing and performance enhancement requirements of an ever competitive and demanding automotive related industry, and,
  • Competence in the skills required to service and enhancing the performance of the systems and components within the light motor vehicles.

Year Two:

  1. Engineering Sciences
  2. Fundamentals of Aerodynamics and Vehicle Dynamics
  3. Motorsport Health and Safety Procedures
  4. Introduction to Motorsport Chassis Systems
  5. Race Car Anatomy and Configurations
  6. Introduction to Motorsport Drive Train Systems
  7. Engine Blueprinting, Balancing and Tuning
  8. Quality Management Systems
  9. Motorsport Vehicle Preparation and Inspection
  10. Materials and Composites for Motorsport
  11. Motorsport Project

 

Year Three:

  1. Supervised Industrial Attachment

 

MQA Compulsory Subjects:

  1. Pengajian Malaysia 2
  2. Bahasa Kebangsaan A OR Leadership Skills
  3. Pengajian Islam OR Pendidikan Moral
  4. Community Service

 

Duration:

2.5 years (2 years – in college; 6 months – internship)


Admission Requirements:

  1. Pass SPM or its equivalent with at least 3 credits subjects including Mathematics and one relevant science/technical/vocational  subject AND a Pass in English OR
  2. Pass STPM or its equivalent with a Pass in Mathematics, English Language and 1 relevant science/technical/vocational subject at SPM level OR
  3. Pass matriculation with at least PNGK 2.0 and Pass in Mathematics, English Language and 1 relevant science/technical/vocational subject at SPM level OR
  4. Pass in a certificate program in engineering/engineering technology in any relevant field from a HEP or recognised by the Malaysian Government with at least PNGK 2.5 OR
  5. Pass in a vocational/technical certificate in any relevant recognised area or its equivalent AND at least 1 year of relevant work experience or a minimum of 1 semester of a bridging program and Pass SPM with at least 1 credit OR
  6. Pass SKM (MQF Level 3) in any relevant recognised area or its equivalent AND with at least 1 year of relevant work experience AND Pass SPM with at least 1 credit OR
  7. Other qualifications recognised as equivalent by the Malaysian Government.
